Caring for our kūpuna with care and compassion.
Pōhai Nani translates to “surrounded by beauty.”
We support and perpetuate the beauty of the Pōhai Nani:
Providing capital improvement grants for the Pōhai Nani facility.
Partnering with neighbors to help the Pōhai Nani kūpuna and greater community. Strengthening the surrounding communities of Pōhai Nani such as through partnering with nearby Castle High School that both fosters budding careers in healthcare for youth that also benefits the residents of Pōhai Nani.
Grant Support has provided:
New walking path on campus.
First Pōhai Nani bus for residents.
New Trigon security entry system.
New automatic door system for the resident dining hall.
Financial support for the capital improvement campaign which funded the large expansion of the Care Center.
Support for construction of the Pōhai Nani poolside pavilion.
Purchase of an AED (automated external defibrillator) for the Care Center.
What We Fund
Grants to deserving and qualified organizations that malama our kūpuna.
After 64 years, the Pōhai Nani Foundation is attuned to both the Pōhai Nani community and the wider surrounding community.
Community grants and partnerships that support the Pōhai Nani community such as CNA training for nearby Castle High School students and Windward Community College that meets the demand for CNAs.
